I’m going to fess up and admit that it’s taken me a while to use Illamasqua’s Cream Blush in Seduce because quite frankly I found the colour quite strong and scary. It’s described as a warm rosy pink -I’d also add that it’s a dark raspberry shade with a creamy consistency. Illamasqua is known for colour intensity -a little goes a long way so I applied a little to the apples of my cheeks using a stippling brush. Surprisingly, I actually ended up adding another layer and even dabbed some on to my lips. You can wear this blush 2 ways – sheer or opaque and there is definitely an art to applying it – build the colour up one layer at a time. It’s really easy to blend and leaves the cheeks with a rosy dewy finish- not oily or shiny. It just melts in to the skin.
I’ll definitely reach for this more come winter time when my skin feels dull and is drier because it really livens up my complexion and will be a good alternative to a powder blush if I’m suffering from any dry winter patches. The blush wore off after 4 hours on my normal to dry skin, so not the greatest staying power but I like the dewy finish enough to top up during the day.
Illamasqua Seduce Cream Blush would look phenomenal on women of colour, I’d also recommend it for medium to deep skin tones.
Available for £21.50 at Illamasqua
I’ve uploaded a new YouTube video – it’s the one where I discuss shelf swiping amongst other things.
I really do love filming for you and just nattering away. Hope you enjoy and have a wonderful relaxing Sunday.
Lots of love xx
Following in the footsteps of the Clinique Chubby Sticks, high street beauty brands like Revlon and Bourjois have released their own
better and cheaper crayons. My favourite so far has to be Bourjois Peach on the Beach – a peachy shade. Really glossy but not in a sticky or gloopy way more like a moisturising lip balm with gorgeous colour. As with most balms, I don’t find this lip crayon long wearing as it tends to wear off during eating and drinking but topping up is so easy and you don’t need a mirror. I love the shade – it’s so pretty, universally flattering and a fab everyday shade.
Available for £7.99 at Boots and Amazon.
Sharing some personal happy news with you in my latest video. I am still in shock!! Eeeeeek – watch til the end for some personal photos in Lake Windermere and bloopers. Have a fantastic week and as always thank you for your love and support.
I’ll keep this short and sweet – the Yves Saint Laurent Le Teint Touche Eclat Foundation is beautiful. I’m shade B50 and the colour match is spot on. It’s a medium coverage foundation which evens out my skin tone nicely without completely masking my freckles – see photos above. I was actually quite impressed with the coverage – even though it’s medium coverage it doesn’t look cakey as YSL have used a soft focus gel in the formulation rather than an opaque powder which tends to mask the skin. If you want a lighter finish just use less than a full pump. It feels lovely and light on the skin, blends easily and gives my skin a natural radiance without being too dewy or greasy. It lasted 8-9 hours on me and I didn’t need to touch up. It’s not as dewy as Vitalumiere and is similar to Vitalumiere Aqua in terms of a semi matte finish. Even though it’s SPF19 I haven’t experienced any flash back and damn, it does photograph well.
I’d say this foundation would suit all skin types except really dry or really oily skin.
Love that it’s available in a whopping 22 shades which have been split into 3 groups depending on your skin tone -rose, beige and gold. When the sun actually re-appears in London, I’ll probably have to pick up BR50 which has a more golden undertone. The glass bottle and gold cap screams luxury and we all know I am a sucker for that.
It gets a massive thumbs up from me and has earned a coveted place on my beauty shelf.
A fabulous foundation.
Available for £30.50 at Boots and Sephora.
When I think of Topshop, I think of clothing and the latest fashion trends. Makeup and Beauty isn’t the first thing that comes to mind but I was pleasantly surprised on a recent visit. I was impressed by the bright and vibrant lipstick offerings – the shade range reminded me of MAC lipsticks and at £8 is nearly half the price of a MAC lippie – £15.50. I found myself at the till purchasing Brighton Rock – a vivid, bright pink lipstick.
Brighton Rock is a satin matte finish lipstick which is quite moisturising and very pigmented which gives a great colour pay-off – one quick swipe on your lips and you’re ready to go. The lipstick also wears off really nicely and I love the cute name which instantly brings back happy memories of lazy summers on Brighton Beach.
A fabulous colour – a daring shade of pink!
I’d defo recommend checking these out and swatching them to see how vibrant the colours are.
Available at Topshop for £8.
Sale shopping really is one of my favourite things to do and I get a real buzz knowing that I’m getting a bargain! I bought lots of really nice pieces for my wardrobe and hope you enjoy my sale haul!
As always, thanks for watching! xx p.s yes, I like eating rice krispies when it gets hot at night lol x
MAC Lady Danger – a phenomenal matte lipstick.
I just can’t get enough of this – it’s a bright, vivid, orangey red that adds a perfect pop of colour. I’ve been wearing this look a lot during the day – with a bit of eyeliner, usual lashings of mascara and blush.
I’m happy to report it also wears off really nicely leaving a slight stain on the lips. I’d also recommend prepping the lips beforehand with lip balm to prevent lips from drying out.
Tip– orange based red lipsticks like Lady Danger look best with a peach blush and for this look I used NARS Orgasm on my cheeks.
I must add that the lipstick is slightly more orangey than my camera has managed to capture.
Yep, a total show stopper!

When all else fails, I throw on black.
Today, I mixed it up with a pair of ripped jeans, a semi-sheer blouse and Rocco. Rocco’s rose gold hardware and the ripped jeans add an edgy rock chick feel but it’s smartened up with a pair of suede tie up heels. I like to call it Edgy Chic. I’m loving ripped jeans and the tantalising tease of skin peeping through. Oh so me.
My L’Oreal ‘Because I’m worth it moment’…..
What are turn ons and turn offs for me? When did I last cry? How long do I take to shower? All these questions and much more is revealed in my latest video. Quite frankly I share waaaaay too much information but had fun doing it!
