When all else fails, I throw on black.
Today, I mixed it up with a pair of ripped jeans, a semi-sheer blouse and Rocco. Rocco’s rose gold hardware and the ripped jeans add an edgy rock chick feel but it’s smartened up with a pair of suede tie up heels. I like to call it Edgy Chic. I’m loving ripped jeans and the tantalising tease of skin peeping through. Oh so me.
My L’Oreal ‘Because I’m worth it moment’…..
I saw the Alexander Wang Rocco Rose Gold Bag and it was love. at. first. sight. I could not resist and here it is in all its glory. Mine. ALL mine. *claps hands*
I love rose gold – it’s metal made pretty and I was so struck with the rose gold hardware at the bottom. It screams edgy rock chic and Alexander Wang is renowned for his hard edged glamour.
It’s made from thick pebbled effect leather which makes it sturdy. I like the fact that it’s made from pebbled rather than smooth leather as it will age well and won’t scratch easily.
It’s been well documented that Rocco bags tend to be heavy (because of the hardware). It’s forced me to be sensible about what I choose to carry around on a daily basis – this is not a bad thing. Hello organised Sammy!
I am also very pleased to report that the main leather handles have stretched (ever so slightly) so that I can wear it over my shoulder and not just on the crook of my arm.
Rocco packs a mean punch and I’m now eyeing up other colours…… oh.dear.
Available at Libertys and Net-a Porter.
All things bright and beautiful! – and this jacket certainly is. I picked this up on a recent shopping trip to Zara in Covent Garden.
It’s such a versatile jacket – and I’ve been wearing it a lot, styled with dresses, jeans, maxis and in this photo with my Forever 21 Trumpet Skirt. I love the bright lemon sherbet colour – great if you are in a crowd and want to stand out! I’ve also noticed that it completely lifts my complexion and makes me feel so summery and fresh.
Summer chic with a slight edge.
Skirt: Forever 21
Here’s how I styled it at work today: – thanks to Shumba for the photos! x
The jacket and skirt also featured in my latest video here:

My latest fashion craving has been for Black T Bar Heels. I love how they elongate your legs and have a very slimming effect. What a clever shoe! I’m also 5’3 – so I need as much help in the height department as I can get.
The higher the heel, the better.
The strappier, the better.
I finally gave in and indulged in a rather blingy pair from Reiss – Noma Black T Bar Snake Heels.
I cannot live without them. Oh so gorge….
I’m sharing some gorgeous alternatives which I also flirted with purchasing.
These are from ASOS and I’m loving the gold heel detail. These are from New Look and I love the double strap.
Valentine’s Day is fast approaching and if you are looking for the Perfect Present for your loved one or fancy spoiling yourself if you’re flying solo, here are some things I’ve been eyeing up.
I’ve had my eye on the Michael Kors MK5799 Women’s Mini Bradshaw Watch in Rose Gold for quite some time. I love Michael Kors’ watches because they are effortless chic and always make a statement. I just love the rose gold finish on this one. Currently £209 at John Lewis – I prefer to buy at John Lewis as they give you a 2 year guarantee.
Photobooks are a really personal and super thoughtful way of capturing those special moments that you’ve shared with your loved one. We live in such a digital age, sometimes it’s nice to step back print out the best of the rest and pop them in a Photobook of memories. It’s something your loved one can cherish, keep forever and is a super thoughtful present. For photo quality I always use Photobox. An A4 Love Photobook is £27.99 for 26 pages.
The Rocco bag from Alexander Wang is tres urban chic. Simple but funky with the rose gold hardware underneath. My, oh, my, I could stash loads of stuff inside…. £775 from Liberty.
Makeup Artist Extraordinaire Charlotte Tilbury launched her luxury makeup line a few months ago. There are 10 striking looks to choose from and my favourite is Dolce Vita. I love the eyeshadow palette in this range for a sultry smokey eye. It’s available to purchase at Selfridges for £38.00.
I am totes in love with these T Bar heels from Carvela. If your loved one is a fashionista this will probably be right up her street. They are sexy and stylish and the T Bar design elongates the leg which is uber flattering. Made from suede it’s a must have for shoe lovers. Glitz from Carvela is £120.00 at Kurt Geiger.
There’s nothing like being sent red roses to work or at home. It’s the element of surprise that I love and these Double Dozen Upper Class Roses are a delight. £55.00 from Waitrose Direct.
I hope this has given you a few ideas or helpful hints which you can suggest to your partner. What will you be doing this Valentines?
I’ve been busy…. shopping…..filming… which means a new video is up!
Check out what I picked up!
